Position Description & Responsibilities:
As an intermediate architect you will produce schematic design, design development and construction documents under direct supervision of the Project Architect within a team environment. You will prepare design drawings, sketches and models, as appropriate, researching code, accessibility and other regulatory requirements for the project. You will assist/lead design team coordination as well as assist during the construction phase by researching technical or contract document questions, responding to RFI’s and the processing of Shop Drawings
Qualifications:
3 to 6 years of architectural experience
A Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree from a leading architecture program.
Recently licensed or a goal to become licensed.
Experience on public projects located within California
Experience in higher education and K-12 projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop,
Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Creative Suite2.
A good understanding of design and construction documents.
Knowledge of different construction types and building systems
Good written and oral communication skills
Accuracy and speed are essential qualities.
